Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
In short
Smoke Freedom does not collect your personal data. Everything you enter is stored on your device and, if iCloud storage is on, also in your private iCloud database, which we cannot access.
What data the app uses
Your products and habit (what you used and how much), quit date or reduction plan, prices and their changes, currency, savings goals, records of use, slips (count and reason) and cravings you got through, pulse readings, selected language and app settings. The camera and flash are used only to measure your pulse: frames are processed on the device and never saved or sent. This data is used only to calculate your progress, achievements and reminders.
Where your data is stored
On your device. Widgets read a copy of the data they need from the app's shared storage on the same device. If sync is on, data is also stored in your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) tied to your Apple ID. The developer cannot see or read this data.
What we do not do
We do not collect, sell or share your data with third parties. No ads. No analytics, trackers or third-party tracking SDKs. No accounts, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number.
Health tips
Health tips and facts are built into the app and work offline: the app downloads nothing for them. They are for general reference and do not replace a doctor's advice; sources are listed under “Sources and disclaimer” in Settings.
Purchases and subscription
Payment, subscription management and refunds are handled by Apple. We never receive your card details. The app checks your subscription status on the device using Apple's StoreKit.
Notifications
Reminders and award notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not pass through our servers. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Sharing an achievement
The award image is created on your device. You choose where to send it. We do not receive any information about what you share or with whom.
Your rights and deleting data
You can edit or reset your data in the app settings. The “Delete all data” button there removes all your records on this device and in iCloud, and therefore on your other devices too. Deleting the app removes local data. iCloud data can be removed in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Smoke Freedom.
Age
The app is intended for adults. We knowingly do not collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always available in the app (Settings → Privacy Policy); the effective date is shown at the top.
